You may know Ludacris just as a hip-hop artist from the south. He also happens to be a pretty huge car guy though, particularly when it comes to Acura. Even after making it big, he’s managed to keep his 1993 Acura Legend. Obviously Acura has been leveraging this as much as possible. When the new NSX started hitting the streets, Luda was quick to get his hands on one. I’m not sure if he actually bought the car himself, or if it’s just a promotional vehicle. Regardless he has been posting quite a few pictures with it. It’s a sick looking car and he could easily afford one, so hopefully he did actually pull the trigger on it!
We’ve mentioned Ludacris and his infamous ’93 Acura Legend before, the last time because his favorite ride received some damage.
Thankfully, the guys at Acura Design studio in L.A. lavished some love on the rapper’s car, installing a few modern touches whilst maintaining the overall 90s styling.
Acura’s global creative director, Dave Marek knew exactly what Ludacris was after: “We wanted to put our own stamp on the Legend while retaining the essence of the original that Ludacris has worked so hard to maintain over the years.”
As a car lover, I find it truly endearing that a rapper still has so much passion and love for their first ride, especially as it’s a 90s Acura.
Check out the video of the reveal below and witness the true love.
Uh oh! It looks like Ludacris’ Acura Legend was in an accident recently. Have no fear though, Luda’s first car (not to mention his favorite) is going to return to its legendary form thanks to the guidance of Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles, the restored Legend will be among Acura’s line-up for this year’s SEMA show early next month. We’ll snap some photos so stay tuned for the new look!
In the meantime, Luda will have to make do with one of his many other rides…
Donald Trump is known for many things — his hair, his money, his wives, and all the beautiful things he’s owned over the years, including this 1991 Acura NSX.
Donald bought brand new in 1991 for his girlfriend, turned wife, turned ex-wife, Marla Maples. Marla and Trump divorced in 1999 but Marla hung on to the NSX for a while until selling it to the current owner.
Check out the eBay listing and if the listing doesn’t make you want to buy it, the video below will for sure. #SMH
